Live casino technology startup Avanti Studios has completed a €10 million seed funding round as it prepares to launch its first products in regulated markets later this month.
The Stockholm-based company confirmed that the second stage of its fundraising campaign generated an additional €5 million, bringing total seed investment to €10 million. The round closed on May 19 and attracted more investor interest than expected, becoming oversubscribed shortly after opening.
Among the returning investors was Genting Casinos UK, which increased its commitment after participating in the company’s initial funding round. The backing is notable given co-founder Jonas Delin’s previous connection to Authentic Gaming, a live casino supplier acquired by Genting in 2019.
Founded by industry veterans Gustaf Hagman and Jonas Delin, Avanti Studios is developing a new approach to live casino gaming that combines motion-capture technology, artificial intelligence, 3D animation and real-time cloud streaming. Instead of operating traditional dealer studios, the company records professional croupiers and transforms their movements into digital dealer avatars that can interact with players in real time.
The fresh capital arrives just weeks before Avanti’s first commercial rollout, which is scheduled to begin in Spain during June. Initial releases are expected to include Live Blackjack and Toro vs. Matador Live, with additional products such as Live Baccarat, Dragon Tiger and localized card games planned for future expansion. Spain will serve as the company’s first regulated market before further launches in other jurisdictions.
Hagman said the strong investor support reflects confidence not only in the company but also in the future of AI-powered live casino entertainment. Delin added that the successful fundraising round demonstrates growing industry belief in real-time digital human technology and its potential to reshape the live gaming sector.
With significant funding now secured, Avanti Studios is positioning itself as a lower-cost and more scalable alternative to conventional live casino operations, aiming to help operators deliver localized and customizable gaming experiences without the expense of maintaining large physical studios.
