Gemini Space Station and Apex Fintech Solutions have signed a letter of intent that could significantly expand access to regulated crypto prediction markets across Apex’s brokerage network.
Under the proposed arrangement, Gemini Titan would become the exclusive regulated venue for crypto event contracts distributed through Apex’s Futures Commission Merchant. Brokerage firms using Apex that choose to offer these contracts would rely on Gemini for execution and clearing rather than building their own market infrastructure.
The agreement is focused specifically on crypto-related event contracts. Apex would still be able to work with other venues for additional prediction-market categories, including sports, economic events and financial markets, on a non-exclusive basis.
The partnership extends an existing relationship between the two companies. In July 2026, Gemini launched US stock trading with Apex Clearing Corporation serving as custodian and clearing broker. Eligible Gemini customers can trade thousands of US-listed securities alongside crypto and prediction-market products through the same platform.
Gemini has also expanded the regulatory infrastructure supporting its derivatives business. Gemini Titan received Designated Contract Market status from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission on December 10, 2025, allowing it to operate a federally regulated derivatives exchange.
Gemini Olympus, another group subsidiary, was registered by the CFTC as a Derivatives Clearing Organization on April 29, 2026. That approval allows the company to handle clearing for fully collateralized futures, options on futures and swaps, giving Gemini greater control over settlement within its derivatives operation.
For Apex, the planned integration would give brokerage clients a route into regulated crypto event contracts without requiring each firm to establish separate exchange and clearing connections. Apex says its wider infrastructure supported more than 41 million brokerage accounts and over $276 billion in assets under custody as of June 30, 2026.
The companies have not yet completed a final agreement. The current arrangement remains a letter of intent, with additional terms expected to be announced if the partnership is finalized.
