Playbook Fusion Secures Swedish Approval with BetComply Support

Playbook Fusion has gained regulatory approval to offer its flagship Playbook Football product in Sweden, with compliance consultancy BetComply supporting the supplier through the application process.

The Swedish permit was secured in less than two weeks and allows Playbook Fusion to provide Playbook Football to licensed operators in the country. The approval represents another step in the studio’s expansion across regulated betting markets.

Playbook Football combines elements of football management video games with real-money betting, giving players a persistent experience in which decisions and strategy influence how they interact with the product. Because of its format, Playbook Fusion has required specialist regulatory support when adapting the game to individual market requirements.

BetComply handled the Swedish approval process and will continue assisting the supplier as it seeks entry into further regulated jurisdictions.

The companies began working together in 2025. During the earlier stages of the partnership, BetComply helped Playbook Fusion obtain its UK Gambling Commission licence, a Malta Gaming Authority Recognition Notice and information security management system certification through eCOGRA for Playbook Football.

Playbook Fusion has since accelerated the international rollout of the product. Its official updates show launches with operators including bet365, Betano, Betfair, Novibet, BetMGM and LeoVegas Group, alongside expansion in markets including Brazil, Türkiye and Buenos Aires Province. The company also secured its MGA Recognition Notice in June 2026.

Founder and CEO Steve Rogers said the company expects different regulatory requirements as it enters additional markets and views BetComply’s understanding of both compliance and Playbook Football’s unusual product structure as important to its expansion strategy.

BetComply Chief Compliance Officer Mike de Graaff similarly said compliance is being incorporated into Playbook Fusion’s expansion from the beginning rather than being addressed after market-entry plans have been made.

The consultancy is already supporting Playbook Fusion with approvals in several further jurisdictions, although the companies have not disclosed which markets are next.

Sweden therefore becomes the latest regulated territory added to Playbook Fusion’s growing footprint as the supplier continues positioning Playbook Football as a hybrid between traditional sports betting, virtual sports and football-management gaming.
