Fury Defeats Hall in Manchester Showdown and Reveals Newborn Son’s Name

Tommy Fury marked his return to the ring with a points victory over former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall, before dedicating the win to his newborn son and revealing the child’s name for the first time.

The exhibition contest took place at Manchester’s AO Arena and was scored over six two-minute rounds. Fury emerged victorious after the judges returned scorecards of 59-56, 58-56 and 57-57.

The 27-year-old boxer was fighting for the first time since defeating Kenan Hanjalic in a professional bout in May 2025. Speaking after the fight, Fury said the win was dedicated to his new son, Midas, his second child with partner Molly-Mae Hague.

Fury praised Hall’s performance following the contest, describing the strongman as a tough and capable opponent who exceeded many expectations inside the ring.

Although the bout attracted significant attention, it was officially classified as an exhibition and therefore did not affect either fighter’s professional record.

The event continued the growing trend of crossover boxing cards that combine traditional combat sports with social media personalities and entertainment figures. Fury has previously built a high-profile profile through victories over influencer-boxers KSI and Jake Paul.

Hall entered the fight carrying a major size advantage. At Friday’s weigh-in, the former strongman outweighed Fury by 108 pounds (49kg). Despite the difference, Fury relied on his superior boxing experience, movement and technique to control much of the action and secure the decision.

Several notable figures attended the event, including Fury’s brother, former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury. Also present was Phil Foden, who recently missed out on selection for England’s World Cup squad.

The undercard featured a range of crossover contests. Social media personality Jack Kay, known online as the “Ibiza Final Boss” and famous for his distinctive bowl haircut, defeated rapper and podcaster Jordan McCann.

Meanwhile, two-time Olympic taekwondo champion Jade Jones maintained her unbeaten start in boxing. Jones stopped Argentine combat sports influencer Federikita in the second round, improving her boxing record to two wins from two since switching sports last year.

The event also included a surprise announcement involving Campbell Hatton, son of former world champion Ricky Hatton. The 25-year-old was unveiled as a new signing for Misfits Boxing despite announcing his retirement from professional boxing in 2025.

Fury’s victory capped another high-profile crossover boxing night, combining professional fighters, influencers and combat sports personalities in front of a packed Manchester crowd.
