Tottenham Agree £85m Package to Sign Manchester City Winger Savinho

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Manchester City for Brazilian winger Savinho in a deal worth £75m up front, with another £10m potentially due in add-ons.

The 22-year-old is expected to undergo a medical before completing a long-term contract with the north London club.

Spurs have been pursuing Savinho for more than a year after failing with an attempt to sign him last summer. He ultimately remained at Manchester City, but his opportunities became limited during the following campaign, with only seven Premier League starts under Pep Guardiola.

Tottenham have already invested heavily in their squad this summer. Head coach Roberto de Zerbi strengthened midfield by bringing in Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle for a combined £185m before turning his attention to the attacking positions.

Savinho is unlikely to be the final major arrival. Tottenham are also advancing discussions over Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, who joined the Premier League champions from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59m in 2025 but struggled to secure a regular place last season.

Liverpool attacker Cody Gakpo is another player on Tottenham’s radar. However, completing deals for Savinho, Marmoush and Gakpo in the same transfer window could prove financially difficult.

Savinho’s expected arrival will take Tottenham’s summer spending beyond £300m. The club has partly balanced that investment by generating around £140m from the departures of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic.

The scale of the recruitment underlines Tottenham’s aggressive squad rebuild, with further attacking additions still possible before the transfer window closes.
