Aberdeen claimed only their second Scottish Premiership win of the season with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park, ending a wait stretching back to March 2024 for an away league success at the venue.
Gavin Molloy, Connor Ronan and new Moroccan recruit Ayoub Mouloua all scored their first Aberdeen goals before Kevin Nisbet completed the rout late on.
Motherwell enjoyed plenty of possession but struggled to turn their control of the ball into meaningful chances, while Aberdeen proved far more clinical whenever opportunities appeared.
The visitors broke the deadlock before half-time through Molloy. After earlier efforts from Afeez Aremu and Nisbet had gone narrowly wide, the defender stepped forward and produced a superb long-range strike to put Aberdeen ahead.
The second goal arrived almost immediately after the restart. Ronan collected the ball just inside the penalty area and drove a powerful effort towards goal, with a deflection helping it beyond goalkeeper Alex Paulsen.
Motherwell attempted to respond by making several substitutions, but their attacking changes failed to alter the direction of the match. One of their clearest openings fell to Seb Palmer-Houlden, who headed over from a promising position.
Aberdeen continued to threaten at the other end. Toyosi Olusanya came close to adding a third with a header from a free-kick before substitute Mouloua produced one of the highlights of the afternoon, firing a fierce effort into the top-right corner.
Nisbet then rounded off the scoring in the closing stages, reacting quickly to poke the ball home off the post and seal a convincing four-goal victory.
Aberdeen were rarely placed under sustained defensive pressure and comfortably protected their advantage once in front. The result delivered a valuable three points and represented their biggest Premiership victory since their heavy win over Livingston in January.
