ThrillTech has launched ThrillArena, a new tournament platform built around player-funded side bets across online casino, live casino and sports betting.
The Cyprus-based technology supplier said the product is designed to replace the traditional model in which operators finance tournament prize pools. Instead, participation is optional and players who enter contribute through side bets, allowing prize pools to grow without requiring direct operator funding while also creating an additional revenue stream for gambling brands.
ThrillArena combines three formats — SlotsArena, LiveArena and SportsArena — within a single automated tournament system. Its proprietary points engine calculates rankings using multiple scoring factors that can be adjusted as competitions develop.
The system has also been structured to prevent early participants from establishing an insurmountable advantage. Players joining later can still accumulate points, move up the leaderboard and compete for the leading prizes. Operators can configure daily and weekly payouts, while monthly seasons provide a longer-term competition format.
Another feature, Battle Mode, allows limited player-versus-player contests in which participants compete directly, collect points and improve their tournament ranking. ThrillTech co-founder Benjamin Bradtke said the company sees the model as a way of turning tournaments from an operator-funded promotional expense into a player-funded engagement and revenue product.
ThrillArena becomes the second major product in ThrillTech’s side-bet portfolio after ThrillPots, its player-funded jackpot engine. The company had already signalled that it would unveil a new non-jackpot side-bet product at SBC Summit Lisbon, which runs from September 29 to October 1, 2026.
The launch follows a period of expansion for ThrillTech. During 2026 it secured partnerships involving Super and 888AFRICA and obtained further regulatory approvals, including a Category A1 Manufacturer’s Licence from the Hellenic Gaming Commission. Its current regulatory footprint also includes licences or certifications covering markets such as the UK, Sweden, Malta, Romania, Gibraltar, Peru, Ontario and the Netherlands.
