Former Entain Legal Chief Simon Zinger Launches Two London Advisory Firms

Former Entain Group General Counsel Simon Zinger has launched two London-based advisory businesses, Calibri Law and Bluestar Partners, after ending a senior legal and customer protection career with the gambling group.

Zinger will serve as Managing Partner of both firms, which have been established with different areas of focus. Calibri Law will provide formal legal services, while Bluestar Partners will operate as a broader strategic consultancy covering regulatory, commercial and reputational issues.

Calibri Law will advise companies, organisations and individuals operating across gambling, gaming, media, marketing services and related industries. Its work is expected to combine legal and compliance advice with the operational and commercial considerations faced by businesses working in tightly regulated markets.

Bluestar Partners will have a wider remit. Its advisory services will include regulatory strategy, compliance frameworks, government relations, crisis management, international expansion, customer protection, safer gambling and sports integrity. Zinger said the two businesses are intended to apply experience gained from working inside internationally regulated companies to clients dealing with regulatory and reputational pressure.

Zinger spent around five and a half years at Entain, initially serving as Group General Counsel before also taking responsibility as Chief Customer Care Officer. His remit included legal affairs, player protection and regulatory matters across one of the world’s largest betting and gaming groups.

During his time at Entain, Zinger became closely associated with the company’s campaign against illegal gambling operators and the promotion of unlicensed betting brands. Earlier in 2026, he publicly called for stronger cooperation between regulators, operators and technology platforms to restrict black-market gambling advertising.

Entain also pressed the UK Intellectual Property Office to examine whether gambling businesses without a Gambling Commission licence should be able to obtain UK trademarks. The company argued that trademark registration could give unlicensed operators an appearance of legitimacy while supporting activity prohibited in the regulated British market.

Zinger’s formal departure from several Entain-linked UK corporate positions was recorded in September. Companies House filings show his appointments as a director and company secretary at Entain Marketing (UK) Limited ended on 11 September 2026, with corresponding changes also recorded at Entain Holdings (UK) Limited.

Before joining Entain, Zinger held senior legal positions at companies including advertising group Dentsu and media business Vivendi. His move into independent advisory work follows a broader trend of senior gambling executives and regulators using their experience in compliance, policy and government affairs to establish consultancy careers.
