Crystal Palace have strengthened their attack with the signing of highly rated American forward Zavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake in a deal reportedly worth $15 million (£11.1 million).
The 19-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with the Premier League club, with the transfer still awaiting international clearance.
Gozo developed through Real Salt Lake’s academy after joining in 2021 and made his Major League Soccer debut in October 2023, when he was just 16. Since then, he has established himself as one of the club’s most promising young players.
His breakthrough accelerated this season, with Gozo producing six goals and four assists across RSL’s opening 16 league matches. His performances also earned him selection for the MLS All-Star Game.
Born in Utah, Gozo has represented the United States throughout the national youth system and has progressed as far as the under-23 side.
The move continues a busy summer for Palace, who have now completed six signings during the transfer window. Gozo follows Oscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Dwight McNeil, Evann Guessand and Anan Khalaili through the door as the club reshapes its squad for the new campaign.
