Fury vs Joshua Could Take Place at Wembley With 4am Start Considered for US Audience

The long-awaited heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua could finally happen at Wembley Stadium, but fans may face an unusual start time if plans to target the American audience go ahead.

Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh has revealed that the all-British showdown could be staged in London, with the main event potentially beginning around 4am local time to maximise viewing figures in the United States.

The idea would mark a major shift for a UK boxing event, where headline fights traditionally take place late in the evening. A similar approach has been used in other sports when organisers prioritise international broadcast markets, but it would create a unique atmosphere for one of the biggest fights in British boxing history.

Talks over Fury vs Joshua have lasted for years, with multiple attempts to finalise a deal falling apart. The two former heavyweight world champions have repeatedly expressed interest in facing each other, but negotiations, mandatory fights and changing circumstances in the division have prevented the bout from happening.

Fury has not competed since his defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, who ended his unbeaten professional record and became the undisputed heavyweight champion. Joshua has also been rebuilding his career after setbacks against Usyk, returning with several victories before suffering another major defeat against Daniel Dubois at Wembley.

Despite both fighters no longer holding world titles, Fury vs Joshua remains one of the biggest commercial matchups in boxing. Their rivalry has dominated the British heavyweight scene for more than a decade, and a meeting between the pair would still attract huge global interest.

Alalshikh, who has played a major role in bringing major boxing events to Saudi Arabia, has been pushing to deliver fights that fans have demanded for years. While no official date or agreement has been confirmed, Wembley is now being discussed as a possible location for the historic British heavyweight showdown.
