GGBET Extends Ukraine Sports Push Through National 3×3 Basketball Championship

GGBET has strengthened its presence in Ukrainian basketball after serving as title sponsor of the 2026 national 3×3 championship, whose final stage was held in Kyiv in late August.

The tournament formed part of the betting brand’s broader partnership with the Basketball Federation of Ukraine. GGBET became the title sponsor of the Ukrainian basketball SuperLeague at the start of 2026 and also partnered with the country’s men’s and women’s national teams.

Its involvement in 3×3 basketball was announced in June, when the federation confirmed that the competition would officially operate as the GGBET 3×3 Ukrainian Championship. The season was structured around seven stages, beginning in Kyiv and continuing through Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk before returning to the capital for the final.

According to SBC News, 12 teams participated during the three-month championship, competing for a combined prize pool of UAH 1 million, approximately £16,500. Participating teams also committed 50% of their prize winnings to support Ukraine’s armed forces.

The Kyiv final was decided in overtime, with the championship-winning basket coming from long range. GGBET also used the event as a broader fan activation, adding DJ performances, audience activities, prize giveaways and a cheerleading performance around the sporting programme.

The sponsorship reflects GGBET’s continuing effort to expand beyond football and build a wider sports marketing portfolio in Ukraine. Alongside its basketball agreements, the company has maintained partnerships in Ukrainian football, including cooperation with FC Polissya Zhytomyr and Dynamo Kyiv.

GGBET’s basketball strategy has increasingly focused on fan engagement as well as traditional sponsorship. Earlier in 2026, the company and the Basketball Federation of Ukraine organised Media Slam, an open SuperLeague media event bringing together players, league officials and journalists to discuss the domestic championship and national teams.
