Liverpool have had a £50m offer for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh turned down as they continue their search for additional attacking options before the transfer window closes.
The 22-year-old Gambia international has become an important part of Brighton’s attack since arriving from Newcastle United for £30m in 2024. He has recorded 10 goals and nine assists across 73 appearances for the Seagulls.
Minteh operates mainly from the right flank, a position Liverpool are looking to strengthen following Mohamed Salah’s departure. He is currently recovering from a leg injury suffered during a pre-season friendly against Roma earlier this month.
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola is expected to keep exploring several targets as the club assesses the market for another wide forward.
The Reds have already added Victor Munoz to their attacking options this summer, paying Osasuna £34m for the versatile forward, who can operate both centrally and on the wing.
Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is also high on Liverpool’s list. The 23-year-old France international is understood to be open to a move to Anfield, but the clubs remain separated by a significant difference in valuation.
PSG are seeking a fee of around £145m for Barcola, while Liverpool would prefer negotiations to move closer to the £100m level.
With Brighton rejecting their opening approach for Minteh and PSG maintaining a high asking price for Barcola, Liverpool’s search for a new winger is set to remain one of the club’s main priorities during the final stages of the window.
