Manchester City Sign Iliman Ndiaye From Everton in Deal Worth Up to £65m

Manchester City have completed the signing of Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye from Everton in a deadline-day transfer worth up to £65m.

City will pay an initial £60m for the 26-year-old winger, with a further £5m available through add-ons. Ndiaye has agreed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium.

The transfer completes a remarkable rise for a player who began his professional career in the seventh tier of English football just over six years ago. His development eventually took him to Sheffield United, Marseille and Everton before City moved to bring him into their squad.

Ndiaye attracted significant interest during the summer. Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal held discussions over a possible move, while Tottenham also came close to securing his signature.

Spurs reached an agreement with Everton for Ndiaye on Friday as part of negotiations taking place alongside a potential return to Goodison Park for former Everton forward Richarlison.

That arrangement ultimately collapsed after Richarlison was unable to agree personal terms with Everton, preventing Tottenham from completing their planned move for Ndiaye and leaving the way open for City.

Ndiaye now joins a major summer rebuild at the Etihad and arrives on the same day Manchester City agreed a £125m deal with Chelsea for midfielder Enzo Fernandez, matching the British transfer record.

City have been among the busiest Premier League clubs during the window, with Elliot Anderson, Geronimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Allan Elias, Jeremy Monga and Pierce Charles also joining before Ndiaye and Fernandez.

The Senegal international will now attempt to establish himself in a City squad assembled for another challenge across domestic and European competitions.
