Raphinha maintained his exceptional start to the season with another two-goal display as Barcelona swept aside Feyenoord in a 5-1 Champions League victory.
The Brazilian winger struck twice to take his tally to eight goals in five appearances, while Karim Adeyemi, Lamine Yamal and Gabriel Jesus also found the net in another dominant attacking performance from the Spanish side.
Barcelona needed only three minutes to open the scoring. Raphinha produced a brilliant piece of individual skill to escape two defenders before finishing calmly to continue his run of scoring in every match this season.
Feyenoord, coached by former Barcelona player Giovanni van Bronckhorst, briefly threatened to respond. The Dutch side appealed for a penalty after Anis Hadj Moussa went down inside the area midway through the first half, but the referee allowed play to continue.
Barcelona quickly strengthened their position when Adeyemi curled a superb 20-yard effort into the top corner. The summer signing from Borussia Dortmund marked the goal with his familiar back-flip celebration.
Raphinha effectively ended Feyenoord’s hopes of a comeback in the 57th minute. Timing his run behind the defence, he collected the ball before driving a low finish across the goalkeeper for his second of the night. It was already his third brace in five games this season.
The hosts continued pushing forward and added a fourth through Yamal, who converted a free-kick in the 77th minute.
Barcelona were denied a clean sheet shortly afterwards when substitute Sem Steijn scored for Feyenoord in the 82nd minute. The Catalan club have now gone without a Champions League shutout since April 2025.
There was still time for Gabriel Jesus to complete the scoring. The Brazilian forward, who joined Barcelona from Arsenal earlier this month, headed home late on to register his first goal for the club.
The strike was Barcelona’s 22nd goal across their opening five matches of the season, underlining the attacking form that has made them one of Europe’s most prolific teams in the early weeks of the campaign.
