Real Madrid Push to Secure Vinicius Jr as Arsenal Monitor Contract Decision

Real Madrid have submitted an improved contract proposal to Vinicius Jr in a renewed effort to secure the long-term future of one of the club’s biggest stars, with a decision expected soon.

The Brazilian winger has entered the final year of his current agreement, prompting fresh speculation over his future. Negotiations between the player and the Spanish champions had stalled in recent months, but the club has now returned with revised terms in an attempt to break the deadlock.

Club officials are increasingly optimistic that the new offer will be enough to convince Vinicius to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. A response is expected within the next few hours rather than over the coming days.

The 26-year-old recently returned to Madrid after representing Brazil at the World Cup and rejoined the squad for pre-season training and medical assessments earlier this week.

Vinicius has been in discussions over a new contract for around 18 months, with his existing deal due to expire in 2027. While he remains committed to the club, the winger is understood to be seeking a salary that reflects his status as one of Real Madrid’s leading players.

Real Madrid, however, have long maintained a disciplined wage structure under president Florentino Perez and are reluctant to make exceptions that could disrupt the club’s financial hierarchy.

Despite the ongoing negotiations, Vinicius has repeatedly expressed his desire to remain in Madrid, previously describing the Spanish giants as his dream club and stating his ambition to continue his career there for many years.

The Brazil international has become one of Real’s key attacking figures since joining the club, making 375 appearances across all competitions and scoring 128 goals.

Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation and remain prepared to move if contract talks collapse. The Premier League side have identified Vinicius as their preferred option to strengthen the left side of their attack and are ready to step up their pursuit should he decide against signing a new deal.

For now, Real Madrid remain confident their improved offer will keep one of world football’s brightest talents at the club, but the final decision rests with the player.
