Sports data company FX1 has entered a global partnership with Twenty First Group to develop an AI-powered betting solution for combat sports, combining extensive fight statistics with predictive modelling and real-time market pricing.
Announced on September 22, the agreement will provide sportsbooks and prediction market platforms with more detailed pre-fight and live betting options. Boxing will be the initial focus, with plans to expand the offering to mixed martial arts (MMA) and other combat sports.
The companies aim to address gaps in combat sports betting infrastructure, where fragmented information across promotions, competitions and geographical markets has limited the variety and consistency of betting products available to operators.
Combining Fight Data With Predictive Technology
FX1 will contribute its combat sports database, which contains records of more than one million fights and 500,000 fighters. The company will also provide its proprietary MotionAI technology, which analyses live video to track fighter movements and actions.
The system converts footage into real-time data and predictive inputs, allowing operators to access information as bouts progress. Twenty First Group will use its expertise in statistical modelling, pricing and line-making to transform this information into pre-fight and in-play betting markets.
The partnership will initially concentrate on boxing, where the companies intend to introduce a broader selection of betting options supported by consistent data and live analysis. MMA and other combat disciplines will be incorporated in subsequent stages.
FX1 already provides sports data APIs covering MMA and UFC events, including pre-fight, post-fight, round-by-round and real-time information. Its existing DataPulse system combines proprietary AI models with quality assurance processes to support betting, sports technology, media and broadcasting applications.
The new collaboration will bring FX1’s combat sports data capabilities together with Twenty First Group’s predictive intelligence and betting market development expertise.
Companies Target Fragmented Combat Sports Data
FX1 founder and CEO Damien Dau said the commercial growth and global popularity of combat sports have not been matched by equivalent improvements in their underlying data infrastructure.
He explained that the partnership would combine FX1’s proprietary technology with Twenty First Group’s pricing and predictive capabilities to create a more comprehensive information system for leagues, promotions, betting operators and fans.
According to Dau, changing audience expectations and new ways of consuming live sports have increased the need for reliable, detailed information that can support additional betting markets and interactive experiences.
Twenty First Group chief betting officer Will Stephenson also identified fragmented data as a major obstacle to developing combat sports betting products.
He said the collaboration would establish the data infrastructure and predictive capabilities needed to support a broader range of betting markets and commercial applications across the sector.
Beyond betting, FX1’s technology is designed to support broadcasting, performance analysis and fighter safety through the use of consistent, real-time information.
The partnership is intended to give sportsbooks and prediction market operators access to a more comprehensive combat sports data product, beginning with boxing before expanding into additional disciplines.
The companies have not disclosed a commercial launch date or identified the first operators that will integrate the new solution.
