bet365 has added horse racing betting to its French platform through a partnership with ZEturf, strengthening the operator’s presence in France only months after entering the regulated sports betting market.
The new service gives customers access to a broad selection of pari-mutuel horse racing markets through bet365.fr and the company’s mobile applications. ZEturf is supplying the local racing infrastructure and expertise needed to support the product, while bet365 is integrating the offering into its existing technology platform.
The expansion follows bet365’s French debut earlier in 2026. The operator launched its regulated sports betting platform in late May after securing approval from the Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), with horse racing identified from the outset as one of the products planned for a later stage.
France represents a distinctive racing market because online horse betting largely operates through the pari-mutuel model, where wagers are pooled before winnings are distributed among successful bettors. The structure makes access to established local racing pools and expertise particularly important for incoming operators.
ZEturf already provides betting on French and international racing alongside race programmes, results, analysis and other racing services. Its platform operates under licences issued by the ANJ and covers horse racing as well as other regulated gambling verticals.
Racing becomes next step in French expansion
The partnership allows bet365 to combine ZEturf’s established position in French racing with its own international sportsbook technology and more than two decades of involvement in the sport.
bet365 described the introduction of racing in France as an important stage in its development in the country, pointing to the strength of the domestic racing calendar and the experience of French bettors. The operator said its objective is to combine the established French pari-mutuel model with the digital functionality and product standards used across its other regulated markets.
The launch also broadens a French product that initially focused on sports betting. When bet365 entered the market in May, its platform included features such as Bet Builder, Cash Out, Bet Tracker and Sub On Play On. The company also confirmed at the time that horse racing and online poker were planned as subsequent additions.
bet365 continues international push
France has become one part of a wider period of international expansion for bet365 as the company increases its presence outside its home UK market.
The French racing launch comes while the operator is also managing higher costs and organisational changes in Britain. SBC reported that bet365 recently began a restructuring programme affecting roughly 340 jobs across locations including Stoke-on-Trent, Gibraltar and Malta, with the company pointing to competitive conditions as well as rising regulatory and tax costs.
The addition of horse racing nevertheless gives bet365 a wider regulated product range in France and provides the operator with access to one of Europe’s most established betting markets through an experienced domestic racing partner.
