LeoVegas Group has launched its proprietary Tiger sportsbook technology in the UK, bringing the platform to BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK as part of the operator’s wider move away from third-party sports betting infrastructure.
The rollout marks the latest stage of a migration programme that has already taken Tiger into Denmark, Brazil and Sweden. The UK launch took place in early August and puts all three of LeoVegas Group’s key British betting brands onto the company’s in-house sportsbook stack.
Tiger is built on technology acquired through LeoVegas’ purchase of Tipico’s US sportsbook platform. MGM Resorts International announced the transaction in June 2024, saying the deal would give LeoVegas the ability to operate a purpose-built proprietary sportsbook across its international markets and brands, excluding operations covered by the US BetMGM joint venture with Entain.
The acquisition also brought Tipico’s US product, technology and trading capabilities into LeoVegas Group, accelerating a process that otherwise would have required the company to develop a complete sportsbook technology stack internally.
Tiger made its first market appearance in Denmark in July 2025 before being expanded into Brazil and subsequently Sweden. The Swedish migration was completed earlier in 2026, clearing the way for the platform’s introduction into the UK, one of LeoVegas Group’s most established international markets.
For UK customers, Tiger includes features such as enhanced odds boosts, partial cash-out functionality and a flexible combination-betting product. LeoVegas says bringing the technology under its direct control will allow the group to introduce new features faster and adapt the sportsbook more closely to individual markets.
The move is particularly significant for BetMGM UK. MGM Resorts launched the brand in Britain in August 2023 using LeoVegas technology as part of its international expansion strategy. Unlike the BetMGM business in the US and Canada, which operates through MGM Resorts’ joint venture with Entain, the international BetMGM platform is managed through LeoVegas.
LeoVegas has gradually increased its focus on sports betting after historically building much of its business around online casino. The company strengthened its betting position through the acquisition of Nordic sportsbook brand Expekt in 2021, while MGM Resorts’ acquisition of LeoVegas in 2022 provided further investment for international expansion.
The Tiger rollout gives LeoVegas greater control over product development, pricing and sportsbook functionality across its international operations. With BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK now migrated in Britain, the UK becomes the latest major market in which the group is relying on its own technology rather than an external sportsbook platform.
