Visualize Group Strengthens Gaming Compliance Business with eCOGRA Acquisition

Private investment firm Visualize Group has agreed to acquire independent gaming testing and certification agency eCOGRA, further expanding its presence in the global gaming compliance sector. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition follows Visualize’s earlier purchase of BMM Testlabs and reflects the firm’s strategy of building a broader portfolio of companies that provide testing, inspection, certification and regulatory compliance services to the gambling industry.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in London, eCOGRA has become a well-established provider of testing, certification and compliance services for online gaming operators, software developers and regulators. The company supports clients across more than 50 regulated jurisdictions, helping ensure gaming products meet technical and regulatory standards while maintaining fairness and integrity.

Following the completion of the deal, eCOGRA will continue to operate independently under its existing leadership, with CEO Will Shuckburgh remaining in charge. Visualize said the company will retain its own accreditation framework and methodologies while benefiting from investments aimed at expanding capacity, improving operational efficiency and shortening service turnaround times.

Visualize also plans to extend its employee ownership program to eCOGRA’s workforce, allowing staff to participate in the company’s future growth. The investment firm believes stronger compliance infrastructure is becoming increasingly important as more regulated gambling markets emerge around the world.

The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions before it can be finalized.
